“Colon Classification as Ontology" by Dr. Michael A. Shepeard

Friday talk-9 Special lecture on “Colon Classification as Ontology
by Dr. Michael A. Shepeard.
Dr. Michael A. Shepeard remembered his days when gave lecture in the same hall 15 year back. He gave brief geographical description about the location of his University and in his e introduction expressed his long term interest in Colon Classification, right from his college days when he was student of DRTC in Bangalore 1974. Apart form classification he studied how Colon Classification could be used for other purposes. So he took a look at RDMS, Programming PROTEGE etc…. In computer science and information service, he took concept and relationship as items of study. He briefly describe concept of ontology by taking university people as an example. Ontology provides more information about properties, resources and value along with their relationship. Thus ontology is more help full in constructing a semantic map. Ontology on web – explained about technology, resources, property, value etc. Ontology describes the relationship. They have developed programmer of ontology based on depth schedule of Colon Classification that is Personality, Matter, Energy, and Hierarchies of class, subclass, sub-class, and sub-sub-class in simple triple .he explained it by an simple
Example e.g. - Person a with lung cancer treated by thermotherapy using-rays. He is working on the elements of space and time also to programmer. He explained how the sample subjects and it rings along with sectors make things simple and he gave very brief summary like this- colon depth scheduler or ontology can be used as web ontology by adding it a relationship web ontology allows to define any relations, it’s a good news and bad news at a same time web ontology is important
